WASHINGTON--U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) and Ranking Member Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), co-chairs of the Senate 4-H Caucus, applaud Senate passage of a resolution designating October 4-10, 2026 as National 4-H Week.
"4-H has made a lasting impact on countless Arkansans, including my three daughters, who benefited from their participation in this program. I'm proud to support 4-H as it continues developing future generations of leaders and equips young people with the skills and values they need to succeed," Boozman said.
"Minnesota 4-H is preparing over 50,000 young Minnesotans to lead in their communities," said Klobuchar. "I'm glad to partner with Senator Boozman to recognize the work of 4-H by celebrating this week as National 4-H Week. As co-chair of the 4-H Caucus, I'll continue working with my colleagues to support exciting opportunities for youth engaged in agriculture."
As the country's largest youth development organization, 4-H operates as part of the Cooperative Extension System across land-grant universities. It reaches nearly six million young individuals through hands-on experiences in agriculture, science, health and civic engagement annually including 130,000 in Arkansas and 50,000 in Minnesota.
