Community Regional Medical Center has once again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report.

Our downtown Fresno hospital was nationally recognized for excellence in maternity care - providing safe, compassionate and quality care for every stage of pregnancy.

Last year Community Regional was recognized as a "Best Regional Hospital" by U.S. News, ranking #1 in Fresno and #35 in California overall.

"I am incredibly proud of our team and the compassionate care they provide across the Central Valley," said Danny Davis, Division President, Hospitals. "This national recognition reflects the trust families place in Community Health System every day."

Patient safety and comfort determine high performance

Community Regional scored well in a number of areas listed by U.S. News as markers determining high performance, including:

  • Excellence at minimizing avoidable C-sections
  • Participation in quality improvement collaboratives and addressing patient safety/maternal morbidity
  • Vaginal birth after cesarean support, which is 17.4 percentage points higher at Community Regional than the state average
  • Low episiotomy rate (less than 5%)

Community Regional offers quality care and support throughout the pregnancy journey
