The Marquette University Police Department is hosting its next free Self-Defense and Personal Security Awareness training classes in April at the Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility.
Self-Defense class is open to female and male participants with classes scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, in the Gold Studio and Monday, April 13, in the Blue Studio. The class incorporates simple strategies for escaping potentially dangerous situations. Registration is available online.
Personal Security Awareness training class is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 14, at 4 p.m. in the W+R Conference room. This class reviews the steps you can take to limit exposure to personal and environmental security risks. Registration is available online.
MUPD regularly offers several free safety classes throughout the semester to students, faculty and staff. Be proactive with your personal safety by signing up for these classes to learn new skills and tips. Dates for all safety classes offered by MUPD this semester are available online.
