Fujifilm Unveils New SX Series Model: A Lens-Integrated Long-Range Camera (Fujifilm)

Long-range cameras are widely used for surveillance of borders, forests, airports, ports, highways, and more. Their role in remote infrastructure inspections has grown due to labor shortages and aging facilities. Fujifilm first introduced the SX Series in 2019, combining its expertise in optical and image processing technologies. Current models include the FUJIFILM SX800, featuring a 40x zoom covering 20mm to 800mm, and the FUJIFILM SX1600, covering a range from 40mm to 1600mm. Renowned for their fast and precise autofocus and stabilization systems, the SX Series excels at capturing clear images of subjects even several kilometers away.

The newly developed model incorporates Fujifilm's advanced optical technologies, refined through the design of 4K/8K broadcast lenses and cinema camera lenses. Its bright F2.8 lens enables clear, low-noise imaging even in dark environments. By integrating the camera and lens into a single compact unit, it achieves 32x optical zoom (12.5mm-400mm focal range) while maintaining a lightweight, portable design. This versatility makes it suitable for surveillance in locations where fixed installations are impractical, including disaster sites, crime scenes, and event venues.

Fujifilm remains committed to leveraging its proprietary optical and image processing advancements, including those used in the GFX and X series digital cameras, to develop innovative solutions that meet evolving customer and market demands.
