McClugage traffic pattern change underway

PEORIA - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that to accommodate ongoing construction in the eastbound lanes of the McClugage Bridge (U.S. 150), traffic patterns in the work zone are changing today, April 22.

The eastbound span will be reduced to one lane, and new traffic shifts will be introduced. Work being done includes barrier wall relocation, pavement removal and resurfacing.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
