The 2025 W-2s are processed and available online for those employees who chose to receive them electronically.
An employee can access their electronic W-2 by logging in to the myUT portal and selecting Tax Forms in the Employee Self-Service dashboard.
Employees who elected to receive their W-2s on paper should receive a paper copy of their W-2 form, via the US Postal Service, on or around Saturday, Jan. 31, to their mailing address. Please remember to allow for mail delivery time.
If you were paid overtime during calendar year 2025, you will need to use the Comprehensive OT Tax Form: IRS Schedule 1A when filing your annual tax return. The University of Toledo does not issue this form; it is included as part of your individual federal tax return.
Because this new law was implemented retroactively, UToledo will not be entering the claimable overtime amount in Box 14 of your W-2 for this year. Instead, employees will need to reference their final 2025 pay statement. Using the Year-to-Date (YTD) totals for overtime pay, you can calculate the claimable amount as follows:
• This applies only to overtime hours worked over 40 hours per week.
• Only the premium portion of the overtime rate is claimable-not the full overtime amount.
• The premium portion is defined as the amount paid above your regular hourly rate.
