SCREEN PE Solutions Co., Ltd. (SCREEN PE) has newly developed SpairD series, repair systems for printed circuit boards (PCBs), which will begin sales this month.
In recent years, the rising demand for high-performance semiconductor chips has driven printed circuit boards to become finer in pitch, larger in size, and more multilayered. As a result, manufacturing processes have grown significantly more complex, while quality requirements have tightened, leading to higher product costs. Under these circumstances, yield improvement has become an essential priority-particularly for high-value-added substrates-where even more advanced yield-enhancement measures are now required.
Against this industry backdrop, SCREEN PE has developed its first printed circuit board repair systems, SpairD series. Equipped with a high-performance laser, the series supports a wide range of substrate types and enables high-speed, high-precision removal of shorts and excess copper foil. It also delivers excellent takt time*¹ and intuitive operability, contributing to improved productivity and stable operation. The SpairD lineup launches with two models: SP-D15 (Line/Space: 15 μm) and SP-D5 (Line/Space: 5 μm). Sales of the SP-D15 will begin in March 2026, followed by the SP-D5 in June 2026.
With this introduction, SCREEN PE now offers solutions not only for inspection processes using AOI*²-including its MIYABI optical inspection system-but also for repair processes. This expanded portfolio supports higher yields and reduced material waste across PCB manufacturing.
SCREEN PE will continue to respond to the diverse needs of the growing printed circuit board market and contribute to the further advancement of the industry.
