Abstract artwork exhibit by popular Orange County artist on display at the Mission Viejo Library

Colorful artwork from the Orange County abstract fluid artist Nevine Erian is now on display at the Mission Viejo Library through December 6.

Erian is based in Dana Point; however, her roots go back to Egypt. She specializes in acrylic pouring, an abstract and contemporary style of painting without a brush. She is fascinated by the flow, blending and movement of paint, which offers much freedom and adventure. Mesmerized by color, Nevine often uses it to evoke joy and emotional resonance. She creates contemporary abstract paintings that combine lyrical abstraction, coastal-inspired color palettes, and expressive layered surfaces to evoke light, water, and tranquility.

The City of Mission Viejo hosts gallery spaces in the Mission Viejo Library, Norman P. Murray Community Center, and Potocki Center for the Arts. If you are an artist or art collector interested in exhibiting, email [email protected] for more information.

The Mission Viejo Library is located at 100 Civic Center.
