Williamsburg County woman charged with operating without a Retail License

SCDOR agents arrested a Williamsburg County woman on Thursday and charged her with operating without a Retail License.

Marla Jauvonne Epps, 51, of Andrews, operated S&M BBQ in Kingstree when the SCDOR revoked her Retail License on May 28, 2025. Once her license was revoked, Epps was advised to stop making retail sales and to close the business. However, according to an arrest warrant, Epps continued to make retail sales.

If convicted, Epps faces a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail and/or a $200 fine. She is being held in the Williamsburg County Detention Center.
