Leader Schumer Statement On Six Months Of Trump’s Iran War

New York, N.Y.- Today, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) released the following statement as today marks six months of Trump's illegal and costly war in Iran:

"Donald Trump took America to war with no plan to win it and no plan to end it. Six months later, Americans are paying the price for both.

"Eighteen American servicemembers are dead. Gas prices have surged. Iran is holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage. America is less secure, the region's more dangerous, and the president still can't even explain what victory looks like or how this war ends.

"Senate Republicans know the costs and the massive risks. And still, when given the chance to act, they cower before Donald Trump.

"Six months is enough. This war has cost American lives and delivered nothing but chaos. Senate Democrats will keep putting Republicans to the test, again and again, until they find the backbone to join us and finally end this disastrous war."
