Media Alert: Committee on Women to Be Briefed on Gender Equality Commission Concourt Judgement
Parliament, Monday, 20 October 2025 - The Portfolio Committee on Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities will receive a briefing from the Constitutional and Legal Services Office tomorrow on the Constitutional Court judgment on the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE).
Additionally, the Institutional Office Supporting Democracy will brief the committee on the Constitutional Court judgment and the appointment process for the new CGE commissioners.
Furthermore, the committee will consider the CGE advertisement and programme for the commissioner vacancies.
