Commuter Student Appreciation Week, Feb. 9-13

All week, commuters can stop by Schroeder Complex 124 and the Swift Student Center (O'Brien 111) for a tote bag and snack bag, respectively.

Monday, Feb. 9

• Bagels with Dean DeGuire | 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in O'Brien 209
  • Stop by to chat with Andrew DeGuire, James H. Keyes Dean of the College of Business Administration, and enjoy a bagel.
• Grab & Go Lunch | 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Johnston Hall jPad Lounge
  • Grab a sandwich or salad lunch.
• T-Shirt Giveaway | Noon to 2 p.m. in the AMU first floor lobby
  • Stop by to get a commuter student T-shirt and stickers. A special appearance will be made by Dr. Chris Navia, acting vice president for belonging and student affairs.

Tuesday, Feb 10

• Wings & Games | 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lemonis Center Multi-Purpose Room
  • Join for a fun lunch break with games, wings and other tasty snacks. Stay as long as you'd like or just drop by for a quick bite.
• Commuter Student Association at Winter O-Fest | 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the AMU second floor lobby
  • Stop by the Commuter Student Association table at Winter O-Fest and learn more about the student organization.
• Hot Cocoa & Cookies | 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lemonis Center Commuter Lounge
  • Stop by and chat with Dr. Heather Hathaway, acting dean of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, and college staff and advisors. Cookies will be provided. This event is open to all students.
• Campus Ministry Open House | 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Campus Ministry Office (AMU 236)
  • Pop in to Campus Ministry to enjoy some tasty treats, take some time to relax and connect with peers.
• CSA Movie Night | 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the AMU Commuter Lounge
  • Hang out in the lounge and watch a movie with some snacks.

Wednesday, Feb. 11

• Grab & Go Breakfast | 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the AMU Lunda Room
  • Stop by for some fruit, muffins, scones, coffee and tea before or in between classes.
• Grab & Go Lunch | 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the AMU Commuter Lounge
  • Stop by for lunch and chat with the Office of Student Development staff.
• Commuter Student Meet & Greet | 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Schroeder Complex 112
  • Commuter students can stop by to meet and greet other commuter students.
• Wellness + Recreation Open House | 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Wellness + Helfaer Recreation lobby
  • Stop by to learn about the services and programs Wellness + Helfaer Recreation offers, grab a snack and spin the wheel for a prize.

Thursday, Feb. 12

• Bagels with Dean Berg | 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Johnston Hall jPad Lounge
  • Stop by to chat with Dr. Kati Berg, acting dean of the Diederich College of Communication, and have a bagel.
• Career Center Open House for Commuters | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career Lab (Lemonis Center, fourth floor)
  • Come for the snacks, see the Lemonis Center's new Career Lab and meet the Career Center staff.
• Arts & Crafts with Chai | 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lemonis Center Multi-Purpose Room
  • Come hang out with other commuters. Beverages from The Chai Company will be provided.
• Fuel for the Road: Commuter Trail Mix Bar | 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Cramer Hall Lower Level Lounge
  • College of Health Sciences commuter students can stop by for an afternoon pick-me-up with a build-your-own trail mix bar.

Friday, Feb. 13

• Free Food Friday | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Brooks Lounge (AMU 168)
  • Come by for sandwiches and play a game of pool.
• Goodie Bags for Commuters | 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lemonis Center Ask Me Desk
  • Swing by the Ask Me Desk, say hello to the student staff and grab your commuter goodie bag.
• CSA Bowling Bash | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Union Sports Annex
  • Come and bowl with your fellow commuters. Food will be provided.
