Cergy, 29 January 2026 - SPIE France, a French subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, announces the rollout of its AI Hub across its subsidiaries. Developed by SPIE ICS, the digital services subsidiary of SPIE France, and already used by several of its customers, this secure generative artificial intelligence platform marks an important milestone in SPIE France's digital transformation.
A sovereign AI agent platform
To support both its own transformation and that of its customers, SPIE ICS has developed its AI Hub, a platform that allows the creation and use of AI agents leveraging the company's data. This AI Hub is an agnostic solution, capable of integrating any generative AI model, whether developed by international players or French firms, such as Mistral. It meets data sovereignty and security requirements by ensuring data integrity, by making appropriate decisions in terms of hosting and through the ability to operate offline for sensitive environments. Already deployed for SPIE ICS and SPIE Facilities customers, the AI Hub has been opened up to 16,300 employees of SPIE France and its subsidiaries. This large-scale rollout aims to enhance the collective performance of teams and foster innovation to serve SPIE customers, while offering tools adapted to the specific realities of each business area.
Agent cascades for complex tasks
The AI Hub first provides access to chatbots via a traditional conversational interface. The most representative use cases are pre-sales processes, HR-related questions from employees and, in particular, specialised professional assistants used, for example, to help IT management technicians. Employees can easily create their own assistants. The time they save allows them to refocus on customer relationships and higher value-added activities.
Beyond conversational assistants, the AI Hub enables the creation of agent cascades that communicate with each other transparently, making it possible to orchestrate complex processes. In this way, for example, lawyers at SPIE France subsidiaries are able to use the AI Hub to analyse contracts, thanks to a set of around ten highly specialised agents.
Lastly, the AI Hub can connect to business software via MCP (Model Complex Protocol1) or traditional API (Application Programming Interface2). The architects at SPIE ICS use it in particular to deploy virtual machines via natural language processing. Together with SPIE Industrie, another subsidiary of SPIE France, they are exploring agents capable of interacting directly with industrial machines.
Ethical and responsible use of AI formalised by a Charter
The SPIE ICS AI Hub allows users to choose the right generative AI model for each use case, helping to reduce the computing power required and therefore the environmental impact of AI. The carbon footprint of AI Hub agents will soon be directly visible within the interface.
With the ambition of being an exemplary operator in the realm of AI, SPIE France has formalised an AI Usage Charter that aims to harness AI as a driver of progress and innovation, while also using it in a responsible and sparing manner. As a genuine roadmap for all employees, this Charter reflects SPIE France's desire to reconcile technological innovation with corporate responsibility. This approach has oversight through dedicated governance, which aims to ensure data security and confidentiality, as well as the ethical and transparent use of AI, without any discrimination or bias. SPIE France is also committed to supporting its employees in mastering AI practices and fostering collaborative innovation.
"SPIE ICS's digital expertise make it possible for SPIE France to be a pioneer in adopting large-scale AI solutions in its sector," comments François Gueno, Director of Innovation and R&D at SPIE ICS. "The use of the AI Hub by several of our customers and its widespread adoption within SPIE France will allow us to identify new use cases and further enrich our AI offering to better address business challenges."
"We are convinced that AI is a powerful lever for bolstering our collective performance, creating a competitive advantage, fostering innovation within our teams, while delivering real added value to individuals. This transformation is first and foremost a collective journey, supported by our Innovation and AI teams, which play a key role in supporting our employees and making them aware of best practices," adds Arnaud Tirmarche, Managing Director of SPIE France.
Introduced by Anthropic in November 2024, MCP provides a secure and standardised "language" that allows LLMs to communicate with external data, applications and services.
