Derek Mosley joins President Kimo Ah Yun on WTMJ’s ‘The Upswing’

Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, joined President Kimo Ah Yun on this month's episode of 620 WTMJ's "The Upswing."

February is Black History Month, and for the past 15 years, Mosley has marked the occasion by sharing daily social media posts highlighting lesser-known moments in Black history. He reflected on how social media has evolved and influenced the ways people learn and engage with history. President Ah Yun added that social media can serve as a powerful tool for education, storytelling and connection.

The conversation also touched on Mosley's African American Heritage Tasting Dinner, his Unconscious Bias presentation and Marquette University Law School's "Get to Know" initiative.

Hosted by Marquette alumnus Jeff Sherman, "The Upswing" highlights the ever-changing world of business and commerce in Milwaukee and across the state of Wisconsin. President Ah Yun is joined each month by an expert from campus to discuss their work.
