The First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army Colonel General Karim Valiyev held telephone conversations with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and the Chief of General Staff of Hungarian Defence Forces, General Dr. Gábor Böröndi. The conversations took place at the initiative of the Turkish and Hungarian counterparts.
The sides conducted a comprehensive exchange of views on military cooperation between the countries, as well as on the regional situation and related security issues.
Referring to the attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chiefs of the General Staff emphasized that such actions are contrary to the norms of international law.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, also conveyed through the Kingdom's military attaché in Azerbaijan that his country condemns such attacks and stands ready to provide the necessary support.
Colonel General Karim Valiyev expressed his gratitude to his counterparts for their position and the support they have demonstrated.
