The Infectious Respiratory Disease Surveillance Dashboard from the Illinois Dept. of Public Health (IDPH) provides the latest data on hospital visits, seasonal trends, lab test positivity and demographic data. IDPH also tracks COVID-19, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus information through the Illinois Wastewater Surveillance System dashboard.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a notice that MediNatura New Mexico, Inc. is voluntarily recalling one lot of ReBoost Nasal Spray because the product has been found to contain yeast/mold and microbial contamination. The FDA said, "There is a reasonable probability that adverse health consequences including life-threatening infections will occur with use of the product in the immuno-compromised population." To date, MediNatura has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall.

Terminally ill people will have the option to end their own lives with a doctor's prescription in Illinois next year, under legislation signed by Gov. JB Pritzker on Friday.
