Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) recently crowned University of the Year for South East England, is inviting prospective students, families and the local community at an upcoming Open Day on Saturday 14 March.
As the national conversation focuses on the rising cost of living and the value of a degree, BNU is demonstrating how a modern university can offer a tangible return on investment.
Attendees are invited to get a taste of our interactive hands-on degree courses which set up students for career success, hear from remarkable tutors, take part in exciting live demonstrations and experience the state-of-the-art High Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses.
There are courses available that cater to students at any point in their education. BNU empowers those facing difficult personal circumstances, offering flexible study pathways, dedicated financial guidance and tailored wellbeing support to ensure every student has the stability to succeed.
Further distinguishing itself from the traditional university model, BNU remains the only institution in the UK to offer "The Big Deal" which gives students 100% free access to sports, societies and CV-boosting workshops, effectively saving students an estimated £200 per month.
The event, running from 9.30am to 5pm in High Wycombe and 10am to 1pm in Uxbridge, will feature:
Vice-Chancellor Professor Damien Page said: "University should be a launchpad, not a luxury. We are opening our doors on 14 March to show that BNU is doubling down on what matters - providing high-demand skills and industry-standard facilities that make the cost of education a smart, strategic career move for every one of our students."
Ranked in the Top 10 for Teaching Quality (The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026), BNU is opening its specialist labs, studios, and simulation suites to the public. Visitors can explore industry-standard spaces such as our LED wall used in the production of the Mandalorian, our wood-working facilities, our state-of-the-art music studios and anatomage table, offering a first-hand look at the high-spec technology that defines the BNU student experience.
Journalists and photographers are invited to attend for interviews with faculty leads and students.
