Public Notice: Public Meeting, Town of Encampment, WY, Wildfire Risk Reduction for the Town of Encampment’s Municipal Watershed Project

Notice of Public Meeting, Town of Encampment, WY, Wildfire Risk Reduction for the Town of Encampment's Municipal Watershed Project

The Town of Encampment, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at approximately 7pm local time, on January 8th, at the Encampment Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project: Wildfire Risk Reduction for the Town of Encampment's Municipal Watershed.


At the meeting, the Town will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the treatments and the plan for funding the treatments. A preliminary plan of wildfire risk reduction treatments, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Encampment Town Hall (614 McCaffrey, Encampment, WY 82325). Based on current cost estimates, the Town plans to borrow $1,227,175.90 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. With a 75% principal forgiveness award of $920,381.93, the net loan balance for repayment would be $306,793.98. This balance will be covered by the National Forest Foundation. Loan terms will be determined at closing, and be between 0% and 0.5% interest rate over 5 years.
