His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, backs the actions of U.S. President Donald Trump for the reconstruction of Gaza and calls for the launch of a genuine peace process in the Middle East, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, MFA Nasser Bourita, on Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, the Minister noted that President Trump's Plan for Peace in Gaza has achieved a ceasefire, ended a tragic war, saved lives, and devised a pragmatic and forward-looking approach to the reconstruction of Gaza.

In this context, MFA Bourita indicated that, on the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, Morocco is committed to supporting the efforts of the Board of Peace in Gaza, particularly in the areas of security, health, and the promotion of tolerance and coexistence.

He also emphasized the need to fulfill the conditions of Phase II of President Trump's Plan to ensure the success of peace efforts, further calling for the preservation of stability in the West Bank and ensuring Palestinians' ownership through their legitimate institutions.

MFA Nasser Bourita further stressed that the stabilization and reconstruction of Gaza will allow for the launch of a genuine peace process based on the two-state solution.

The inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace was chaired by President Donald Trump and was attended by U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as Heads of State and Government and foreign ministers from nearly fifty countries.
