Telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian

Today, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Honorable Masoud Pezeshkian.

At the beginning of the conversation, our Head of State and His Excellency Masoud Pezeshkian exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha.

The Leader of the Nation wished the Honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran good health and success, and wished all the friendly and brotherly people of Iran peace, tranquility, and continued progress and prosperity.

The sides also discussed the current state and prospects for friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran. The President of Tajikistan particularly emphasized the current positive trend in the expansion of relations between the two countries and the importance of continuous high-level dialogue.

At the same time, the Presidents exchanged views on individual issues of the regional and global agenda, including the current situation in the Persian Gulf region.

In this context, our Head of State, expressing satisfaction with the peaceful negotiation process in this direction, expressed hope for resolving the existing problems in the region only through political means and constructive dialogue.
