Collection Box Sponsors Needed for UTPD's Rocket Re-Fuel Food Drive

The University of Toledo Police Department is partnering with several campus offices for Rocket Re-Fuel Food Drive for their annual Faith & Blue event that runs through the month of October.

Faith & Blue is a national organization that strives to build stronger communities by engaging people of all faiths in a common cause. The Rocket Re-Fuel Food Drive will benefit the Rocket Fuel - Student Food Pantries located on Main and Health Science Campuses and sponsors for collection boxes on campus are needed.

All that's required is to place a collection box in a visible place in your area and encourage others to donate. Campus offices/organizations can compete to see who can collect the most. The winner will receive a framed certificate and, of course, some bragging rights.

To sign up to compete in the 2025 Rocket Re-Fuel food & item drive, complete this online form.

Sign-ups must be completed by Monday, Sept. 29.

There is a limited supply of blue bins available for use, so signing up early is recommended.

Last spring, the Rocket Fuel Student Pantry welcomed 2,000 student visits, serving about 135 each week. The need is greater now than it has ever been as the Rocket Fuel Student Pantries are 100% funded by your donations. And last year the Faith & Blue event collected more than 3,000 items.
