Tempe This Week Oct. 5, 2026

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to stand with survivors and raise awareness of the support available in our community. This year's national theme, "With Survivors, Always," encourages communities to move from awareness to action.

In Tempe, CARE 7 victim advocates provide free, compassionate support to victims of crime, including safety planning, emotional support, help navigating the justice system and connections to community resources. The Tempe Family Advocacy Center offers a safe, confidential space where victims and their families can receive advocacy and healing services, with or without law enforcement involvement.

The Tempe Family Justice Commission supports the City's efforts to strengthen access to resources, safety and coordinated services for victims and survivors.

Help is available 24/7 through the CARE & HOPE Line at 480-350-8004.
