Chinese Ambassador to Ireland Zhao Xiyuan Visits County Louth of Ireland

On August 7, Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan visited County Louth of Ireland and met with Seán Kelly, Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council and David Conway, Chief Executive of Louth County Council.

Cllr. Kelly and Mr. Conway introduced County Louth and its exchanges and cooperation with China, expressing that the county attaches great importance to friendly cooperation with China and is willing to further expand cooperation in economic and trade, education, culture and other fields, and promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Ambassador Zhao stated that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of China-EU relations, and Ireland-China relations has a good development momentum. Chinese companies attach great importance in investing County Louth, reflecting the fruitful outcome of concrete cooperation between Ireland and China. County Louth is welcomed to continuously expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese provinces and cities, and boost the healthy and stable development of Ireland-China relations.

Ambassador Zhao also visited SATIR Europe (Ireland) Co.Ltd. and WuXi Biologics.
