Truck Mounted Spraying Scheduled for Wednesday Night

Cass County Vector Control has scheduled truck mounted spraying in the cities in rural Cass County on Wednesday, August 20th after 8:00 p.m. for elevated mosquito nuisance, weather permitting.

This application is targeted for severe nuisance conditions. Additionally, the area is currently at the highest risk level for West Nile virus. Residents are urged to take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

The active ingredient in the ULV (Ultra Low Volume) spray is permethrin or etofenprox. These insecticides are labeled for use in residential areas and are found to be non-toxic to humans and pets.
