Make A Wish secures spot on Morning Consult's Most Admired Employers list

As Make-A-Wish celebrates 45 years of wish granting in 2025, trust and admiration grow higher than ever

PHOENIX, Jan. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Morning Consult, a leader in decision intelligence, has released its 2024 rankings of the "Most Admired Employers." Make-A-Wish ranks 20th overall and second among nonprofits, which reflects the organization's strong reputation and the profound effect of its life-changing mission to grant wishes for children fighting critical illnesses as the nonprofit celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2025.

This list highlights companies that U.S. adults admire. The inclusion of Make-A-Wish alongside corporations like Google and Microsoft is a testament to the nonprofit's success at building nationwide awareness and communicating the impact of the wishes that it grants.

Make-A-Wish also benefits from being one of the most trusted nonprofits in the country. According to the annual Morning Consult study of the "Most Trusted Brand," Make-A-Wish is the second most trusted nonprofit organization. Among some groups, including Gen Z and Hispanic audiences, the organization secured the top spot for trustworthiness. The trust has been earned through consistent mission delivery and transparency over the nonprofit's 45 years in operation.

"We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the nation's most admired brands," said Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. "We know that wishes can forever change the lives of wish kids and their families, and it's a privilege and honor that the public entrusts us to carry out this life-changing work."

Results from the 2024 Gallup Q12 Employee Engagement survey indicate that the external admiration for Make-A-Wish aligns with the internal employee experience. Make-A-Wish America, the nonprofit's national office, scored at or above the 95th percentile in 8 out of the 12 research-backed questions anonymously asked of employees, excelling in the key engagement areas of professional development, growth, support and recognition.

Make-A-Wish has also been recognized as a Culture Innovator in the 2024 Best Culture Awards, presented by employee engagement platform Kudos. This recognition underscores the organization's commitment to evolving a workplace culture where colleagues feel inspired, included and supported. In recent years, the organization has enhanced the employee experience through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs); an inclusive leadership program; expanded benefits for family building and women's health; and trainings for process improvement and change management.
