Project Spotlight: Westbound I-40 pavement project completed

16 miles of pavement improved near Seligman

SELIGMAN - The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a pavement improvement project along Interstate 40 between Seligman and Kingman.

This $8 million project spanned 16 miles of I-40, between Fort Rock Road to the Markham Wash Bridge (mileposts 92-108). The work included milling the existing pavement and applying a new surface while also making spot repairs in certain areas. New pavement markings were applied, and crews conducted other related work in the area.

Work began in January and, after a brief break, resumed in April. To reduce the impact on traffic during construction, ADOT maintained at least one lane of traffic in each direction throughout.

This project showcases ADOT's commitment to safeguarding Arizona's investment in highway pavement and to maintaining I-40 as a key corridor for commercial and personal travel.
