Phase 1 Roseville Parkway improvements to enhance traffic flow

To improve access to one of the City's busiest retail corridors, phase 1 construction along Roseville Parkway between Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Creekside Ridge is expected to begin summer 2026.

"This project represents years of planning and coordination. These changes will provide a safer and more efficient travel experience for residents and visitors," said Public Works Director Jason Shykowski.

The six-lane arterial roadway connects regional shopping and dining destinations, office buildings, and residential neighborhoods. This long-planned, multi-year project will occur in two phases.

Phase 1 includes improvements at Pleasant Grove and Galleria Boulevard intersections. Pleasant Grove Boulevard will have a third left-turn lane on the southbound lanes heading onto eastbound Roseville Parkway. On the northbound lanes, the right turn lane will be extended. Northbound lanes on Galleria Boulevard will also feature a third left-turning lane that continues onto westbound Roseville Parkway.

A westbound auxiliary lane will be added between Creekside Ridge Drive and Galleria Boulevard. There will also be a dedicated lane between West Drive and Reserve Drive for buses to load and unload passengers.

Phase 2 will widen westbound Roseville Parkway between Gibson Drive and Creekside Ridge Drive, and eastbound Roseville Parkway between Creekside Ridge and Reserve Drive. This will be achieved by converting the merging lanes in those areas into through lanes. Construction on the second phase will begin once funding is secured, which could be as early as 2028-2029.

In addition to intersection and lane improvements, the project will include updated signage and pavement striping, as well as new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters where needed.
