Carrollton Selects New Pro Tem Positions
The Carrollton City Council appointed members Christopher Axberg and Daisy Palomo as Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, respectively, during the Tuesday, June 17 meeting. The appointments will go into effect on Tuesday, July 1.
Axberg was elected to Place 1 in 2022, reelected in 2024, and has been serving as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem since June 2024. He will complete his Council term in 2027.
Palomo was elected to Place 6 in 2023. She will complete her Council term in 2026.
As Mayor Pro Tem, Axberg will fill in for mayoral responsibilities if Mayor Steve Babick is ever unavailable to do so. As Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Palomo will be able to fill in if neither Babick nor Axberg are available. Both pro tem positions are appointed by the City Council from among the current City Councilmembers.
