Gold futures break 3-day slide ahead of August inflation data.

Gold futures broke a three-day losing streak as a weaker U.S. dollar offset broader inflation fears. The dollar index dropped to its lowest level since early May on the back of a stronger Japanese yen, supporting bullion prices. Meanwhile, Platinum futures surged as investors rotated into the broader precious metals complex. Ahead of the Federal Reserve's Sept. 15-16 meeting, markets are closely watching August CPI and PPI data, with the CME FedWatch Tool showing a 60% probability of a 25 bps rate hike.
