Ambassador of Belarus to Israel Y.Yaroshevich meets Patriarch Theophilos III
27 January 2026On January 27, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the State of Israel, Yury Yaroshevich, met with the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine, His Beatitude Theophilos III.
The parties exchanged views on the current situation in the region and discussed the resumption of direct air service between Belarus and Israel. The interlocutors agreed that this would facilitate an intensification of pilgrimage and humanitarian contacts, including high-level visits.
His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III confirmed his interest in visiting the Republic of Belarus.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support provided to pilgrims visiting the Holy Land and requested assistance for the participation of a Belarusian delegation in the Holy Fire ceremony on Holy Saturday.
His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III extended his best wishes to Veniamin, Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.
