Maranello, October 30, 2025 - As a further demonstration of its commitment to the local community, Ferrari will host the Mezza Maratona d'Italia "Memorial Enzo Ferrari" for the second consecutive year. The 2026 event will take place from March 27 to 29, turning the entire weekend into a celebration of sport and passion, open to all.
The forthcoming event was announced today in the presence of Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, and Paolo Bellino, CEO of RCS Sports & Events, the organising company. Also in attendance were representatives of local institutions, including the President of the Province of Modena, Fabio Braglia; the Mayor of Maranello, Luigi Zironi; the Mayor of Fiorano Modenese, Marco Biagini; the Mayor of Formigine, Elisa Parenti; Modena City Council Sports Councillor, Andrea Bortolamasi; the President of the Province of Modena, Fabio Braglia; and the President of APT Servizi Regione Emilia-Romagna, Davide Cassani. Ferrari Vice President Piero Ferrari was also in attendance. Among the guests at today's presentation were athletes Rita Cuccuru, Sofiia Yaremchuck, and Giovanni Pili D'Ottavio. The moment dedicated to the athletes was further enriched by a video greeting from Stefano Mei, President of FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation).
As hosting partner, Ferrari will open the doors of its most iconic locations for the second year in a row to thousands of runners and enthusiasts. The course, a unique combination of sport and legend, will begin at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, continue through the Ferrari factory, the famous Fiorano Track and, for the first time, the Ferrari e-Vortex, the Prancing Horse's new test track. The half marathon will continue through the municipalities of Fiorano Modenese and Formigine and will finish in Piazza Roma in Modena.
There are three distances available for runners of all ages and abilities. The non-competitive 5 km will take place on Saturday, while Sunday will feature the traditional 21.0975 km and the 10 km races. Families and athletes alike will come together for a weekend that transforms sport into a true celebration of the region, strengthening the bond between Ferrari and the community where it was born.
Ferrari's participation reinforces its desire to be an active part of the community's development through concrete projects that give back value, particularly in the field of education. The proceeds from registrations and partner contributions, net of organisational costs, will be donated to support projects for the renovation of sports facilities in the schools of the municipalities involved in the race route, to promote the values of sport and an active lifestyle.
Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, commented: "Ferrari is a unique brand, combining exclusivity and inclusivity. Welcoming the 'Mezza Maratona d'Italia - Enzo Ferrari Memorial' to our symbolic locations is a way to share our passion for this discipline with our community and fans. We enthusiastically support this weekend of sport, well-being, and solidarity. In this way too, Ferrari continues its commitment to this extraordinary region, honouring the memory of our founder, and our bond with these places."
