VANCOUVER, Wash. - Dec. 18, 2025 - ConMet today announced that TruckWings® technology has exceeded 1.5 billion miles of combined real-world fleet mileage. Fleets have logged those miles in daily operation, building a real-world track record of durability and aerodynamic savings.
"Fleets are putting TruckWings systems to work every day, and the pace of adoption has us crossing 1.5 billion miles of real-world use," said Dan Burrows, vice president and general manager of TruckWings at ConMet. "That kind of track record matters when fuel savings are on the line."
Throughout 2025, TruckWings technology saw broader deployment across Class 8 tractors and long-haul operations, resulting in steady month-over-month mileage increases. Key 2025 highlights included:
TruckWings technology uses active aerodynamic panels that automatically deploy and retract to reduce trailer gap turbulence at highway speeds. By lowering aerodynamic drag, the device helps improve fleet fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions without requiring driver intervention. The system is designed for long service life and reliable performance in demanding heavy-duty environments.
As fleets plan for 2026, ConMet expects TruckWings technology to continue adding tens of millions of miles each month as adoption expands across new and existing customers. With fuel costs remaining a primary operating expense and freight efficiency under growing scrutiny, ConMet sees active aerodynamics becoming an increasingly standard consideration for fleet specification and retrofit decisions.
"Active aerodynamics is one of the most direct ways to capture fuel savings on today's trucks," Burrows said. "The TruckWings system is proven at scale, and fleets deploying it now are positioning themselves to reduce operating costs in 2026 and beyond."
