Webster Expands the Articulation Agreements with Jefferson College and St. Louis Community College

Webster University has added to its growing collection of agreements that help transfer students easily enroll in bachelor's degree programs while saving money on educational costs. Webster has added six new pathways for Jefferson College art students to earn bachelor's degrees in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. Webster also added five agreements that allow St. Louis Community College students to enter Webster's computer science programs in the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology.

"After graduating from high school here in St. Louis, I enrolled in one of the wonderful community colleges in this region, so these partnerships are very personal to me." Webster University President Tim Keane said. "Students earn more money in their careers when they commit to lifelong learning. Facilitating the pathway from community colleges to a bachelor's degree at Webster accelerates their journey to economic and financial mobility."

The six new options for Jefferson College students will allow those earning:

• An AAS Digital Communication degree to enroll in Webster's BFA in Graphic Design program.
• An AFA Art degree to enroll in Webster's BFA Art with Emphasis in Illustration program.
• An AAS Digital Communication to enroll in Webster's BFA Art with Emphasis in Illustration program.
• An AFA Art degree to enroll in Webster's BFA Graphic Design program.
• An AFA Art degree to enroll in Webster's BFA Studio Art program.
• An AA General Studies Degree to enroll in Webster's BA Art and Art History program.

For St. Louis Community College students, there are five new options that students earning an Associate of Arts in Transfer Studies degree can choose from:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis in Software Engineering program.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis in Data Science program.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis on Cybersecurity program.
• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis on Cybersecurity, and then a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Operations program. This program is known as a 2+2+1 program, as students could finish with a master's degree while shaving time off of their studies. That would result in the savings of thousands of dollars in educational costs.

With these new agreements, Webster now offers 43 different programs for transfer students from community colleges throughout the region. A complete list of all agreements with community colleges can be found online .

Webster also offers scholarships to transfer students. Called the Network for Enrollment and Transfer (NEXT), students transferring from a community college that has an agreement like the ones listed above could receive up to $1,000 that would be applied to a student's annual tuition costs. The scholarships are renewable annually. To qualify, students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and remain in good academic standing. In addition, transfer students can automatically qualify for numerous academic merit awards ranging from $11,000 to $17,000 annually.
