APINDO Riau Holds Ramadan Gathering and Charity Event for Orphans

Pekanbaru - The Provincial Board of the Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (APINDO) Riau held a Ramadan iftar gathering combined with a charity event to share blessings during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H/2026. The event took place at the Hotel Grand Suka Pekanbaru on Saturday afternoon (March 7, 2026).

Chairwoman of APINDO Riau, Nilla Riana, stated that the Ramadan gathering has become an annual tradition aimed at strengthening ties among APINDO members while also extending support to orphaned children in Pekanbaru.

"During this Ramadan moment, we want to strengthen our bonds with APINDO Riau members while also sharing blessings with orphaned children," she said.

She explained that around 66 orphans from local orphanages attended the iftar gathering and received donations from APINDO Riau. The organization hopes that the assistance will encourage the children in observing their Ramadan fasting.

In addition, Nilla noted that the event was also used to report on the distribution of humanitarian aid for victims of a recent natural disaster in Aceh.

"During the recent natural disaster in Aceh, APINDO Riau collected donations together to provide assistance. Alhamdulillah, the funds raised have been used to construct six wells and repair one machine. During this event, we also shared updates regarding the distribution and progress of the aid," she explained.

Beyond the iftar gathering, APINDO Riau also plans to visit the Masjid Taufiq Wal Hidayah (TWH) Mosque in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru, to provide additional donations to several orphaned children.

"We hope that this act of sharing can help those in need while bringing blessings to all during the holy month of Ramadan," she concluded.
