Chinese Consul General in Kota Kinabalu Huang Shifang Arrives in Mauritius

H.E.Dr. Huang Shifang, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Mauritius, arrived in Mauritius on 2 May 2025. Mrs. N. Purusram-Dhondee from the Protocol Directorate of the Mauritian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomats from the Chinese Embassy received the Ambassador at the SSR International Airport.

H.E.Dr. Huang Shifang noted that, Mauritius holds a strategically-important location within the region and is well-known as the "Star and Key"of the Indian Ocean. China and Mauritius enjoy a long-standing friendship. She believes that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries has great potential and a promising future. 

As the new Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius, H.E. Dr. Huang said she is fully committed to deepening full-fledged exchanges and cooperation between China and Mauritius, and to further elevating the bilateral strategic partnership.
