Sioux City Pride Parade
The parade will be held on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m. on Historic Fourth Street, beginning at 4th and Iowa Streets and ending at 4th and Nebraska Streets.
Sioux City Pride Festival
The festival will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Historic Fourth Street between Nebraska and Jackson Streets. A free meal will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At 11:30 a.m. the "Evie Mendoza Hidden Heroes" awards will be presented. This award is given to individuals in recognition of their work on behalf of the Siouxland LGBTQ+ community.
At noon, the music group "Ralph Dittman and Friends" will perform. They are Sioux City musicians and opened the main stage at last year's Saturday In The Park.
The festival will include a community resource fair, educational forums, face painting, arts and crafts, a pinata, games and an open mic. A quiet space for people to decompress will be located inside the museum.
Interfaith Pride Service
The service will take place on Sunday, June 7 at 11 a.m. on the public museum green space at 4th and Jackson Street. Attendees should bring chairs or blankets. Rev. Jacqueline Morgan from Mayflower Congregational Church will preside over the service.
Pride Prom
The prom is a dance for LGBTQ+ teens and their allies. It will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 820 Nebraska Street. Free Mom Hugs of Northwest Iowa will provide snacks for attendees. In addition to games, music, and dancing, a lip-sync contest will be held. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.
