Paper Shredding, E-Waste Collection, and Mulch Distribution

The City and EDCO are offering La Mirada residents a free paper shredding, e-waste collection, and mulch distribution event on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will take place at the La Mirada Community Gymnasium parking lot, located at 15105 Alicante Road. Residents may shred up to four banker boxes (10"x12"x15") of personal information and have unwanted electronics collected on site. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event.

The mulch distribution will be a self-serve, self-loading service. Residents must bring their own cans/bags and shovel. A limit of three cans/bags per vehicle will be enforced. Participants are requested to bring a tarp to cover the material if bringing an open truck or trailer. This event is limited to La Mirada residents only. Proof of residency (i.e. driver's license or a utility bill) will be required. For more information, call the Public Works Department at (562) 902-2385.
