DeKalb County…
Lane Closures on SR 155/Candler Rd as Resurfacing This Weekend from I-20 to Memorial Dr
METRO ATLANTA -Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will continue activities related to a resurfacing project on State Route 155/S. Candler Road (SR 155) between Interstate 20 (I-20) and SR 10/E College Avenue in DeKalb County. Resurfacing improves the condition of the deteriorating roadway and provides a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, alternating single left or right lanes will be closed on SR 155/Candler Road northbound and southbound between Memorial Drive and E. College Avenue on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following mornings. Crews will lower manholes and water valves and patch the most damaged parts of the road through the project area. Flaggers will be on-site to assist drivers through the lane closures.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
