This Youth Caravan is a multi-city dialogue process that links national policy reflection with regional contexts and local governance implementation, kicking off in Bangkok on 10 June, then to Chiang Mai on 22 June and Khon Kaen on 24 June.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from lived experiences, explore progress made by government, universities and the private sector, share their perspectives and discuss ways forward.
Participation is open and free, with pre-registration required.
Eligibility:
Youth aged between 15-25 years old; or
Undergraduate students; or
Postgraduate students
1./ Bangkok: From Policy to Practices
The Bangkok event will focus on national-level dialogue between youth leaders, policymakers, universities and civil society on how recent progress on promoting gender equality can translate into more inclusive environments for youth people.

2./ Chiang Mai: Wellbeing, Mental Health and Inclusive Environment
The Chiang Mai event will focus on regional contexts and how higher education institutions can play a role in building inclusive ecosystems that support diversity, inclusion and wellbeing for all.

3./ Khon Kaen: Engagement and Local Governance
Despite progress made at the national level, gaps often remain between policy commitments and implementation on the ground. These challenges are particularly evident in access to services, coordination across sectors and the creation of safe and inclusive environments for women and LGBTQIA+ youth. This dialogue aims to provide a better understanding of how local governance systems can more effectively respond to realities and ensure more equitable outcomes.

Background:
The Youth Dialogue Caravan on LGBTQIA+ 2026 is part of the European Union's engagement in promoting gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights in Thailand, in alignment with the Pride Month. This initiative, organised under the EU-Thailand Cooperation Facility (EUTHCF), aims to promote meaningful youth engagement in dialogue on gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights.
Key objectives:
Create a platform for youth to engage with policymakers, institutional leaders and civil society on advancing gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights in Thailand;
Promote dialogue between youth and stakeholders from the public and private sectors and educational organisations for shaping policies and systems in education, employment and social protection;
Amplify youth perspectives and lived experiences to inform ongoing institutional, legal and policy developments.
