BETHESDA, MD - Feb. 11, 2026 - The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and Pointcare, the leading provider of proactive Medicaid coverage management, today announced a strategic partnership to prevent Community Health Center (CHC) patient coverage loss.

This partnership comes at a pivotal time as CHCs navigate the ongoing impact of Medicaid redetermination and policy changes enacted through health reform. NACHC estimates that Pointcare is providing impact for 80+ CHCs today, proactively managing coverage for over 1.8M patients.

Their automated solutions reduce administrative burden and improve outcomes, reinstating coverage on average within three months and maintaining care continuity. After implementing Pointcare's automated systems, AltaMed, the nation's largest federally qualified health center, saw its re-coverage rate increase to 28.5%, whereas industry average is around 14%.

"The partnership with NACHC represents a critical step forward in addressing one of health care's most persistent yet often invisible challenges," said Everett Lebherz, Co-Founder and CEO of Pointcare. "The reality is that millions of patients are losing coverage every month, often without realizing it. Pointcare captures this data in real-time and helps get patients re-enrolled at twice the national average rate, before their next visit. Coupled with our ability to act on redetermination dates proactively, we solve existing coverage continuity problems, while being uniquely prepared for the changes and challenges that lie ahead with HR1."

Pointcare's Coverage Management Platform proactively helps CHCs detect coverage lapses and guide patients through re-enrollment before care is disrupted. This automated approach allows CHC staff to focus on patient care while ensuring coverage continuity.

"Community health centers are trusted anchors in their communities, providing affordable, effective, comprehensive care for more than 52 million patients. Maintaining patient coverage is essential to that mission," said Kyu Rhee, MD, MPP, President and CEO of NACHC. "Pointcare's proven track record in helping CHCs keep patients covered, combined with their innovative automated approach, makes them an ideal partner as we work to ensure all patients have access to affordable care as we support CHCs in navigating changes in the wake of HR1."
