Developers Wanted for FIVE Redevelopment Sites

The Village of Richton Park is marketing five sites for redevelopment through a Request for Proposals. Find more information on the RFP at richtonpark.org/towncenter.

Two RFP sites are located on Sauk Trail within a half-mile of the I-57 Exit. Over 23,000 vehicles pass by these sites daily. Ten acres of land are available and divisible for new construction of retail, dining, entertainment or hospitality at the Sauk Field Lots (5087 Sauk Trail) while the Sauk Building Shell (5125 Sauk Trail) offers 30,000 square feet for renovation into destination entertainment or retail on nearly 3 acres.

The I-57 Exit sites are located near existing national retailers on Sauk Trail including Walmart, Starbucks, McDonalds, Tropical Smoothie Café, Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. The sites are located across the street from the Fine Arts Campus of the Rich Township High School District which attracts over 80,000 guests annually to attend major sporting events, tournaments, performing arts showcases and graduation.

The three RFP sites in the Richton Park Town Center are available for new multifamily and mixed-use construction. All three sites are located within 500 yards of the Metra Electric Station and are within walking distance of multiple business including a new full service grocery store, restaurants, personal services, child care, dentistry, convenience retail and entertainment businesses. The Mixed-Use Site (3747 Sauk Trail) and the Firehouse One Site (22303 Richton Square Road) are both suitable for mixed-use or multi-family construction and the firehouse building shell is available for adaptive reuse as neighborhood retail. The Hilltop Site (22106 Richton Rd) is the largest site at 1.65 acres and just feet away from the Metra Station.

More information is available at richtonpark.org/towncenter. RFP submittals are due Monday, January 26, 2026.
