[WASHINGTON, D.C.] - On Monday, July 27, 2026, at 3:30 PM, U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Ranking Member of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), a senior member of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, will convene a public forum on Donald Trump's self-enrichment crypto schemes, as well as risks the Clarity Act presents without clear ethics standards and any meaningful measures to protect consumers and our national security. The forum, "Trump's Crypto Corruption," will shed light on how the President's greed and recklessness have supercharged foreign influence and bribery of the White House and weakened systems built to protect Americans' hard-earned savings. The forum will make the case against any version of crypto market structure legislation, the Clarity Act-including the current proposal-that allows Trump to corruptly enrich himself from his and his family's crypto schemes while President.
