On May 20, Mr. Zhou Yunliang, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus, attended the "China 2025" Photography Exhibition jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus and the Cyprus Photographic Society.
Chargé d'Affaires Zhou noted that the exhibition serves as an important bridge for enhancing mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Cyprus. Through vivid photographic works, the exhibition showcases China's dynamic development, magnificent natural landscapes, and rich cultural heritage, providing the Cypriot public with an important window into a real, multidimensional, and comprehensive China.
He emphasized that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cyprus, as well as the 5th anniversary of the establishment of their strategic partnership. He expressed the hope that both sides would continue to deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and further promote the sustained development of China-Cyprus friendly relations.
Mr. Constantinos Charalambous, President of the Cyprus Photographic Society, stated that the visit to China was a unique and unforgettable experience. He said that the exhibition stands as another testament to the friendship and cooperation between Cyprus and China. He also expressed the Society's willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in the future and to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
The exhibition features photographic works created by 27 photographers from the Cyprus Photographic Society during their visits to Hunan Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China. The exhibition attracted many photography enthusiasts and visitors from various sectors of society.
