Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson and All Stars Project launch 5th year of Dallas Works summer youth employment program
DALLAS-Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson and the All Stars Project, Inc. have officially launched the fifth year of the Dallas Works summer youth employment program.
Since Mayor Johnson started the initiative in 2020, Dallas Works has provided hundreds of young people with valuable summer internship opportunities. This summer marks the second year that Mayor Johnson has partnered with the All Stars Project to administer the program.
"I am excited for another summer of giving young people across Dallas the chance to build new skills, gain meaningful experience, and take important steps toward a successful future," said Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. "Dallas is a city of genuine opportunity for everyone, and Dallas Works helps equip our youth with the tools and experience they need to succeed while also contributing to a stronger economy for our entire city."

Internships for the 2026 Dallas Works program officially began on Monday, June 29. More than 250 students are participating, and several businesses and nonprofits are hosting and sponsoring interns.
Dallas College is serving as the program's largest internship sponsor. Corporate partners include AMLI Residential, Bank of Texas, EY, Hunt Consolidated, JPMorgan Chase, KFM Engineering & Design, TACenergy, and WTW. Nonprofit and educational partners include the All Stars Project of Dallas, Crossroads Community Services, Dallas College, For Oak Cliff, Junior Players, Trinity Park Conservancy, and Year Up United. The City of Dallas also plans to host 14 high school interns across multiple departments, including Dallas Water Utilities, Information Technology Services, Procurement Services, Park and Recreation, and the Office of Community Police Oversight,.
Leading up to the summer, Dallas Works reached over 3,400 young people across Dallas ISD, several universities including Dallas College, the University of North Texas at Dallas, the University of Texas at Dallas, and Dallas Area Charter Schools, including KIPP Oak Cliff Academy, Uplift Heights Hills Prep, Uplift Williams Prep through 16 outreach events. More than 250 young people participated in skill-building workshops which include communication coaching, resume-writing support, and other opportunities to work alongside professionals.
