Student Entrepreneurs Compete for $10,000 in ORU's Launch Competition



Tulsa, Oklahoma, November 13, 2025-
Oral Roberts University's (ORU) Stovall Center for Entrepreneurship will hold the final round of its Launch Competition on Saturday, November 22. The Launch, held annually at ORU's Global Learning Center (GLC), offers $10,000 in prize money and provides student entrepreneurs with opportunities to receive mentoring, develop strategies, and pitch ideas to investors.

This year's finalists include:

Capra - A fresh take on classic headwear, creating an innovative modular hat for a highly customizable experience. (Joshua Brennan, Master's in Business Administration Student)

Craidig Mobility - A wheelchair innovation enabling dignified air travel for individuals with disabilities. (Caden Peterson, Entrepreneurship)

Health to Heart - A real-time monitoring platform integrating leading blood pressure systems to enhance clinic care. (Tyler Haley, Computer Science; Samuel Walton, Finance)

Halo Technologies - A self-sustaining subdermal GPS microchip providing real-time pet tracking. (Ezekiel Shannanhouse, Engineering)

On The Road - An electronic device that automatically produces a data package for 9-1-1 operators in the event of an accident. (Leahla Chism, Electrical Engineering)

Shepherd's Cup - A cozy space designed for parents to connect, recharge, and find community. (Danny & Julianna Knight, Entrepreneurship & Education)

TorchBear - A device that fuses frayed ropes, significantly extending their work life and saving costs. (Anagraciela Lara, Master's in Business Administration and Master's in Computer Science)

The Stovall Center extends its heartfelt gratitude to Bob Goshen, whose generous sponsorship has fueled the Launch Pitch Competition for the last two years, empowering dozens of student-founders to pursue their dreams. The Stovall Center also honors Jim and Crystal Stovall, whose visionary gift established the Center for Entrepreneurship and continues to impact generations of innovators.

The Launch will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00 am in the GLC. Admission is free, and business students can earn up to six Professional Development Points (PDPs), which will be added to the student's total attendance points at the end of the semester.
