Crapo Announces 2026 Military Academy Nominations

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senator for Idaho Mike Crapo today announced the nomination of 40 young Idahoans to the nation's military academies. The U.S. service academies will review the students' applications and make final decisions on admittance.

"It is a privilege to nominate young Idahoans with an admirable willingness to serve their country to pursue higher education at one of our nation's premier military academies," said Crapo. "These esteemed students have so much to be proud of, and I look forward to watching their success as our nation's future military leaders."

Each year, U.S. Senators and Representatives nominate students to four of the service academies. The academies then select from the students nominated. To qualify for a nomination, each student applied, submitted references and met certain scholastic requirements under a deadline. A nomination does not guarantee acceptance.
