On November 4, 2025, at approximately 3:28 p.m., the El Cajon Police Department received 911 calls reporting a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 400 block of Fletcher Parkway.

Officers arrived on scene and found a 70-year-old man suffering from a serious head injury - he was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The involved vehicle had fled prior to their arrival.
