Deutsche Börse Trading Volumes in August 2026

Deutsche Börse with its trading venues Xetra and Frankfurt generated a turnover of €136.12 billion in August (previous year: €123.32 billion / previous month: €163.37 billion).

€131.56 billion were attributable to Deutsche Börse Xetra (previous year: €119.98 billion / previous month: €157.51 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €6.26 billion (previous year: €5.71 billion / previous month: €6.85 billion). Trading volumes on Deutsche Börse Frankfurt were €4.55 billion (previous year: €3.34 billion / previous month: €5.86 billion).

By type of asset class, equities accounted in total for €102.83 billion. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €31.56 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.59 billion, in certificates €1.10 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.

The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in August was SAP SE with €9.47 billion. Deutsche Lufthansa AG led the MDAX with €915.79 million, while Carl Zeiss Meditec AG led the SDAX index with €192.28 million. In the ETF segment the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €885.6 million.

The five stocks with the highest turnover on the Deutsche Börse Frankfurt trading venue were SK HYNIX GDR with €1.02 billion, Micron Technology Inc. with €65.9 million, NVIDIA Corp. with €43.5 million, Microsoft Corp. with €33.2 million, and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (GDR) with €30.3 million.
