Washington, D.C. - Today, the United States Senate confirmed a slate of highly qualified Trump administration nominees, continuing their record pace in installing the President's team to execute his agenda. Led by Chairman Tim Scott (R-S.C.), the Senate Banking Committee was able to include eight of the President's nominees in the package for key positions at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Treasury, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
"From prioritizing affordability to strengthening the United States economy to driving regulatory clarity on digital assets, President Trump has delivered real results for the American people. Despite Democratic obstruction of historically noncontroversial nominations, the Senate has confirmed more nominees thus far than either the first Trump or Biden administrations - a record pace. As Chairman, I am proud of the work we have done so far this Congress in the Banking Committee to ensure the President has the best possible team to usher in the next Golden Age of America," said Chairman Scott.
The following nominees were confirmed by the Senate in today's en bloc package:
BACKGROUND:
Senate Republicans have been hard at work this Congress, ensuring President Trump has the right team in place to serve the American people. Historically, the United States Senate has confirmed civilian nominations in batches via voice vote or unanimous consent. Unfortunately, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats broke this precedent in 2025, forcing Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Senate Republicans to act to reform Senate rules in September to streamline the civilian nominee confirmation process.
As a result of the historic Democratic obstruction of the bipartisan confirmation process, President Trump remains the only president to be denied a single civilian nominee confirmation via voice vote or unanimous consent. Despite the setbacks, Senate Republicans have cleared the nominations backlog and confirmed more Trump nominations thus far into his second term than either the first Trump administration or the Biden administration.
