Deputy Minister of Defence and Defence Secretary Grace Russian National Day Ceremony

Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) and Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) attended the National Day ceremony of the Russian Federation held at the ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Colombo yesterday(10 June).

Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment Upali Pannilage attended the event as the Chief Guest. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, His Excellency Levan S. Dzhagaryan, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests upon their arrival.
Several cultural performances and commemorative programmes were held at the ceremony.

The tri forces commanders, members of the diplomatic corps, Russian embassy officials and distinguished invitees were present at the occasion.
